Gua Sha is a hands on therapy

The practitioner glides the edge of a flat stone, porcelain soup spoon or smooth side of a jar top along the surface of the skin. This encourages the body to release tension, heat, and other pathogenic factors.

What to expect.

It can leaves the skin slightly reddish which can last for 2-5 days. Gua Sha is often used in conjunction with acupuncture before or after needle insertion
